Treasure Divers offers a daily two-tank morning dive excursion to the world's third largest barrier reef, with over a 100 miles of magnificent reef running the length of Abaco just waiting to be explored.
With most of our dive sites being a short boat ride away, you will be quickly taken to the amazing clear water and incredible reef systems located right off of Abaco's outer island chain in the Atlantic Ocean.
At Treasure Divers, we make diving easy. Our trained professional staff will help you set up your equipment and insure everything is working before we leave the dock. Once at the dive site, NO walking around our boat with your equipment on! No, we will ensure a safe giant stride entry, simply sit on the stern transom of our boat, and the crew will carry the equipment to you, help you in and then it's a simple step into the beauty waiting below.
Water temperatures range from 74 degrees in winter to about 88 degrees during the summer months. Currents are rarely found on the inner reefs around Abaco, and surface conditions range from flat calm to 3 ft maximum swells at the dive sites. Many dive sites are protected by the various outer reef systems, giving us calm waters, however if a winter rage comes on, we are stuck at the dock, as the ground swells exceed 7 feet at 3-foot intervals, making it impossible to get to the reefs from Treasure cay.

Dive sites are chosen based upon guest requests and weather conditions. If the weather is bad, we can always try to set up a dive down south at Sandy Point, approximately an hour and a half's drive to the other end of the island.

Our dive boat has at least two crewmembers on board, one acting as an in-water guide, the other acting as topside safety support. All of our in-water staff are fully certified and insured PADI Dive Masters or Instructors, and all carry a Bahamian boat captain's license.
A dive site briefing is given before every dive, where dive buddy teams are made. All buddy teams are required to follow the dive guide, this will insure an enjoyable tour and a safe return to the dive boat. We recommend the use of dive computers to allow maximum bottom time, however if no computers; we will follow the PADI recreational dive table. Each diver in a buddy team must have their own computer or each will follow dive tables.
Our boat is equipped with a VHF radio, Cell Phone, DAN Oxygen kit, first aid kit, safety bar with spare regulator (for deep dives), descent/ascent line, surface float, deep-water ladder and a very large dive platform. For your convenience on our boat there is a camera rinse bucket, fresh water shower, head, cushioned seats, shade from the sun and a satellite stereo playing your favorite tunes, drinking water and ice is available in the cooler. Back at the dock, our staff will be happy to rinse and store your dive equipment for you.
Gratuities are not included in your dive package prices, so please feel free to either tip the individual staff who made your stay enjoyable, or leave an envelope in the shop with the manager for money to be divided amongst the crews who have dived with you during your stay.
